Alberta transition from “USC” codes to “DAC” procedure codes

As of May 1st the Alberta College of Denturists is recommending all denturists enter the new DAC codes for all insurance companies.

Your DOM system now has both sets of codes. You can find them in your default fees under the” Setup” menu and “Your Fees” option. There you will find both the USC and DAC codes. You can change the default fee amount for the new DAC codes if you wish to charge more or less.

With the latest update, insurance companies have been updated to reference the “AB College 2009 - DAC codes” or “Alberta Blue Cross 2009 - DAC codes” fee guides. This means your DOM system expects you to now enter in DAC codes for all companies.

We recommend that you create a list on a piece of paper beside your computer with the most common procedures that you use and their USC to DAC translation so that you can learn them.
